EVA resin can be foamed, hence used in many kinds of toys and gifts, such as mats, cushion, puzzle and so on. In recent years, China's toy industry development is rapid, the production of more concentrated in the coastal provinces of Dongguan, Shenzhen, Shantou, mainly to the export and foreign processing. According to the analysis, the annual consumption of EVA resin in toys and gifts is about 50,000 tons.

(2) Foaming shoe material

EVA resin material application field is mainly used in Foaming shoe. In the shoe using EVA resin, vinyl acetate content is generally 15% to 22%. Due to EVA resin blend foam products with soft, good elasticity, resistance to chemical corrosion performance, so it is widely used in high-end travel shoes, hiking shoes, slippers, sandals soles and interior materials. In addition, this material is used for sound insulation board, gymnastics mats and sealing material field. Dongguan, Zhongshan, Jinjiang, and Quanzhou of China are China's footwear industry’s main production area.

(3) Thin films

EVA film is mainly used for the production of functional film. Functional film has high weather ability, antifogging and thermal insulation of polyethylene due to not having a polarity, even adding a certain amount of antifogging agent, the antifogging performance lasts only about 2 months; and adding certain amount of EVA resin films, not only has a high transmittance, and antifogging properties has improved greatly, can be more than 4 months. In addition, EVA also can be used in the production of packaging film, medical film, laminated film, casting film.

(4) Wire and cable

Along with the computer and network engineering development, there is increasing use of halogen-free flame retardant cable and cross linked cable for the safety of electric transferring. Due to EVA resin has good packing inclusive and cross-linkable, therefore in halogen-free flame retardant cable and semiconductor shielding cable is widely used. In addition, EVA resins are also used to make some special cable sheath.

In 2011 China's EVA resin market consumption will be over 400,000 Tons. With the development of industry of toys & gifts, shoemaking and functional film dosage increases, EVA resin demand in China will also increase year by year.
